Dear Friends,   

The Gannon Family, the Cleveland Fire Fighters Union and the Northern Ohio Fire Fighters are proud to sponsor the " John A. Gannon Memorial Golf Tournament 2007."

Jack, a member of The MetroHealth Board of Trustees during the 70's and 80's was the moving force for the development of a burn unit at MetroHealth.  He would be the first to readily acknowledge the support of the Cuyahoga County Commissioners, fellow trustees and members of the medical staff.

Jack was the one who advocated, argued, and lobbied relentlessly until the unit was approved.  It was needed!  It served!  It was expanded, and ultimately The MetroHealth System opened the first-rate state-of-the-art burn and trauma center.  It was appropriately named for it's strongest advocate, John A. Gannon.

Fire Fighters everywhere know that if Jack were here he would still be leading the support for this remarkable facility.  Therefore, it is an honor for his family and friends to carry on his legacy of support of  The MetroHealth System and the Gannon Center for Burns and Trauma.

All proceeds from this Memorial Event will be presented to The MetroHealth John A. Gannon Center for Burns and Trauma through The MetroHealth Foundation.
